This guide provides best practices and key recommendations to help you successfully migrate from the ALLOcloud platform to Telavox, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition. With Telavox, you will benefit from a wide range of modern features such as chat, ticketing, call transcription, and AI-powered tools, designed to improve both collaboration and customer experience.
To ensure optimal performance during and after migration:
Test your internet connection: Run a VoIP test to verify stability and confirm that your network supports the required number of concurrent calls.
Disable SIP ALG: Ensure that SIP ALG (SIP Application Layer Gateway) is turned off on your firewall or router, as it can interfere with VoIP traffic.
Update firewall rules: It is mandatory to adjust your firewall configuration to meet Telavox’s network requirements before proceeding with the migration. Click here for detailed network specifications.
In Telavox, each user must have their own direct phone number.
If you do not want users to receive inbound calls on their direct numbers, this can easily be managed by changing the outbound Caller ID and assigning the same main company number as the Caller ID for all users. Users will still have their personal direct numbers (which they may share externally if needed).
You may also reuse the same internal extension number previously used by users. This can be configured from the Users → Call Routing menu, provided that the speed dial is not already reserved in the system.
Before migrating your devices, make sure they are updated to the latest firmware version.
Check the current firmware version under the Advanced tab.
⚠️Click here to verify that you are running a compatible firmware version for Telavox provisioning.
2. Navigate to the Dangerous tab.
3. Click Change version and select the latest available firmware from the dropdown menu.
4. After completing a firmware update, always verify that the upgrade was successful by checking the firmware version again in the Advanced tab.
⚠️ Important:
For legacy devices running very old firmware, a direct upgrade to the latest version may fail. In such cases, it is recommended to proceed with a step-by-step upgrade using intermediate firmware versions, for example: V80 → V81 → V82 → V83, Continue progressively until the target version is reached
Older Yealink devices (manufactured before 2018) require a one-time security credential to complete auto-provisioning via the RPS (Redirection and Provisioning Service). Click here for more information.
The following models require specific firmware versions to ensure compatibility with Yealink RPS:
To begin with, you first need to unregister the MAC address of the manufacturer's RPS.
Open the Dangerous tab.
Disable Zero Touch.
3. Confirm by clicking Save.
4. You can now go to Telavox administration → hardware menu. Click+ Add hardware → add your own terminal. From there, follow the instructions. Click here for more information.
Once added, the device will be authorized to auto-provision with Telavox for 30 days, starting from the date the hardware is added. The device will continue to function normally until a factory reset is performed. Click here for more information.
5. Factory reset: Can be initiated directly from the Advanced tab on the device.
Devices automatically inherit the language set in the user’s profile.
For DECT handsets, users can also change the language directly from the handset menu if needed.
If the SIP device you want to add is not available in the Telavox hardware list, it can still be configured manually. Click here for more information.
You will find the SIP credentials in the Administration section:
Username
Password
Domain / SIP server: sip.telavox.se
SIP port: 5060 (no more 10060 previously used on ALLOcloud)
⚠️ Please note that the SIP configuration may vary depending on the device model. Always refer to the manufacturer’s user manual for detailed configuration instructions.
With Telavox, a single unified application is available on both computers and smartphones. Users can access the same call history, chats, recordings, and user settings across devices.
The application is available in 2 versions:
Telavox app for non branded solutions
Flow UC app for white-label / branded solutions
In Telavox, function keys management is user-based and handled through group assignments.
This means that all devices assigned to the same user will share the same function keys configuration. Any shortcut or function key defined via the user’s groups will automatically apply to all of that user’s terminals. Click here for more information.
⚠️ Before migrating, review function keys with users to confirm useful shortcuts, remove obsolete ones, and align the setup with their actual needs, keeping it simple and efficient.
Devices that are not assigned to a specific user (such as door phones, conference room devices, ATA boxes, or fax machines) can be created as Shared Extensions in Telavox.
⚠️Important:
In Telavox, subscription plans are not pooled. This means that any external outbound calls made from shared extensions will be billed as out-of-pack calls.
Please note that BLF (Busy Lamp Field) functionality is not supported on shared extensions.
It is now time to migrate your callflows, taking into account the specific design and capabilities of the Telavox platform.
The good news is that no additional configuration is required for users’ direct lines. Direct inbound calls to users will work automatically once the users and numbers are in place.
You only need to recreate the following elements in Telavox admin portal, in the PBX services tab:
IVRs
Queuing systems (call queues)
Shared voicemail
Fax-to-PDF
Shared Extensions
You can export your audio recordings from ALLOcloud and import them into Telavox to preserve your existing announcements. Click here for more information.
If you need to create new audio messages, you can also take advantage of Telavox Text-to-Speech functionality, which includes 20 free requests per month.
You can also plan opening hours directly. Keep in mind that a PBX service is open by default. Closures, alternative call scenarios must therefore be explicitly defined using PBX modes. Click here for more information.
Custom events and holidays can be scheduled from the Table View.
⚠️ Please note that External calendar integrations using .ics links are not supported in Telavox.
In ALLOcloud, the Global Phonebook is only accessible to users of the customer account who have Administrator or Supervisor privileges.
To migrate your contacts to Telavox, you can export the Global Phonebook from ALLOcloud and then import it into the shared address book in Telavox. Click here for more information
Keep in mind that ALLOcloud and Telavox operate on the same softswitch infrastructure. As a result, phone numbers cannot be added in Telavox before they are deactivated in ALLOcloud. Therefore, numbers must be formally migrated (“swapped”) from ALLOcloud to Telavox before they become usable in the new platform.
For Belgian and French numbers, a formal porting document is typically not required.
For all other countries, a signed porting document is mandatory.
In all cases, you must open a ticket with our Coordination team to initiate the number migration process.
→ Please specify your desired migration date in the ticket and await formal acceptance from the Coordination team before proceeding with any further migration steps.
Telavox allows flexible number management during your migration. You can add phone numbers as individual numbers or in number blocks (packs of 10 or 100), depending on your needs.
To avoid delays, you may anticipate the migration by creating your users and PBX services in advance.
The replacement of temporary numbers with final ported numbers is handled by our Coordination team.
In the ticket, it is mandatory to clearly specify each mapping using the following format:
Temporary number → Final number
⚠️ Perform speed dial configuration only after the number swap is completed. Speed dials are linked to phone numbers, not to users or devices..
Migration on the last day of the month:
Only out-of-package usage (e.g., external outbound calls, outbound faxes) will be billed.
Mid-month migration:
A credit note will be issued for any unused portion of your prepaid ALLOcloud subscription.
